Students in grades 9-12 are welcome to submit previously unpublished fiction, literary nonfiction, poetry, and visual art. We accept submissions all year round, and the quality of your work is our main consideration. We do not acknowledge receipt of submissions.
To submit your work, please include a cover letter with your submission that lists the titles of all the work you are submitting, your name, email address, grade level, and school name. If you are a home-schooler, please indicate that along with your approximate grade level. If your submission is a simultaneous submission, please let us know in the cover letter and contact us immediately by email if it is accepted elsewhere.
- Poetry submissions should not exceed 3-5 poems, and prose should be limited to 10 pages.
- Please use 12 pt font and double space.
- Visual artists may submit 3-5 pieces.
Please send your submissions via email to wpluspeditor@gmail.com in the format of .docx, .doc, or pdf for prose and verse, and as jpeg for art.
We will do our best to respond to your submission as quickly as possible, while also giving it the time and attention it deserves. Our average response time is 3-5 weeks. If you haven’t heard back from us after 6 months, feel free to follow up. Our readers are mostly volunteers, so please be patient.
